Description
This course provides an in-depth study of the concept of the moral rights of the authors and performers as understood in most civil law countries, with the analysis of key case-law from Latin America and Europe. This concept, then, will be applied towards a comparative in-depth study of the moral rights of the authors and performers in relation to the system in common law countries, including analysis of key case-law from the United States and the United Kingdom. The course will delve into the similarities, dissimilarities, advantages and disadvantages of the two systems and their adequacy with the international treaties dealing with the matter.
