Professor Erica Jansson is a litigation associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP where she has worked on an array of matters concerning, among others, consumer protection, labor & employment, and white collar crime.  She has also worked pro bono alongside the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles and Immigrant Defenders Law Center on several immigration cases.  Before rejoining her firm in 2023, Professor Jansson served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Philip S. Gutierrez, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Courts for the Central District of California.

Professor Jansson graduated summa cum laude from Southwestern Law School’s Evening Program in 2021.  While attending law school, she served as Editor-in-Chief of The Southwestern Law Review, Chair of the Moot Court Honors Program, and a teacher’s assistant for five professors.  She also received the Judge Barry Russell Federal Practice Award.  Prior to law school, Professor Jansson graduated from California Institute of the Arts, earning her B.F.A. in Dance and Choreography and a minor in Social Sciences.
