Professor Harriet M. Rolnick Named SCALE Director
Commencing with the 2006-2007 academic year, Professor Harriet M. Rolnick has been appointed director of the SCALE Program. In his announcement, Dean Bryant G. Garth described her new role as "another example of her great commitment to her alma mater."
Professor Rolnick
earned her J.D. from Southwestern in 1979 and returned twenty years
later to teach Trial Advocacy as an adjunct professor. Soon thereafter,
she joined the full-time faculty, expanding her courses to include
Torts; Interviewing, Counseling and Negotiating; and SCALE. A former
psychiatric social worker, Professor Rolnick was a litigator in San
Francisco and served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Central
District of California for 14 years.
