February 2013 Student Housing Construction Update
Skin in the Game; Unit Leasing Begins
February got off to a fast start with interior rough-in drywall completed in most units, electrical equipment installed, continued running of conduit and electrical wire, more windows installed and towards the end of the month, the first coat of stucco for the exterior skin and building color.
February 1, 2013: Building exterior is prepared for lath and plaster, as roofing nears completion.
February 6, 2013: Electrical transformers and switch gear are delivered and installed.
February 6, 2013: Windows are stacked along basketball court location awaiting installation.
February 6, 2013: Windows are installed and then protected from construction damage with blue plastic sheeting.
February 6, 2013: Roof platforms are readied for air conditioning units.
February 6, 2013: Roofing materials are delivered by crane.
February 20, 2013: The first "scratch" or "brown" coat of stucco is applied to the units facing the courtyard on the west side of the project.
