Southwestern Law School Alumni Recognized on The Hollywood Reporter’s 2024 Power Lawyers List

Los Angeles, CA – Southwestern Law School proudly announces that five alumni have been named to The Hollywood Reporter’s 2024 Power Lawyers list, an annual roundup of the entertainment industry’s top 100 attorneys. These alums have made important contributions through high-stakes litigation, talent representation, and groundbreaking legal strategies, reinforcing Southwestern’s position as a premier institution for legal education in entertainment law. 

The Southwestern alumni recognized on the 2024 Power Lawyers list are: 

  • Warren Dern '91, who helped Rebel Wilson with "Bride Hard" and has worked with clients Paul Feig, Gore Verbinski, and Amy Poehler. 
  • Bobby Ghajar '98, who successfully defended Meta in an IP suit over AI and also won the dismissal of a trademark infringement lawsuit against Kim Kardashian’s skincare line. 
  • Ryan LeVine '04, who guided Iain Armitage through "Young Sheldon" and closed a significant deal for Octavia Spencer with Amazon. 
  • Shawn Holley '88, who represented multiple clients in high-stakes criminal cases. 
  • Jeff Hynick '06, who advised Jenna Ortega in her post-"Wednesday" deals and represents filmmakers like Jonathan Entwistle and Parker Finn.
