This seminar is designed to enable each enrolled student to (in consultation with the Professor), identify and pursue a topic in California Legal History that is of strong interest to the student. Some of the topics chosen will have lessons for public policy choices that we face today. Topics are likely to include ones that focus on local circumstances, as well as ones that affected the entire state. The Seminar class sessions will be devoted to student presentations and class discussion of the student projects, and a few short in-class exercises where students will be asked to reflect on the project just presented in writing. Interaction with Professor Prager prior to the start of the course is required.
