Professor Iris R. Bradstreet is Counsel at Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) in the Los Angeles, California office. As Counsel, she protects the interests of SAG-AFTRA and its members by enforcing SAG-AFTRA contracts through arbitration and state and federal litigation. In particular, Professor Bradstreet manages arbitration matters concerning contract and NLRA-related member grievances against signatory producers and distributors. She also provides advice and counsel to the various departments within SAG-AFTRA as to the Union's legal rights pursuant to the relevant contracts.
Prior to working at SAG-AFTRA, Professor Bradstreet practiced traditional labor law in San Francisco as an Associate at Jackson Lewis, P.C.
She is a member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association where she serves on the Executive Committee of the Entertainment Law Section. Additionally, she is an active tournament chess player and coach, who has competed in numerous tournaments around the world. Her most notable chess accomplishments include representing Team USA in Israel and placing in the top 5 in the highest stakes chess tournament on record, the Millionaire Chess Open.
Professor Bradstreet earned her J.D. from University of San Francisco School of Law, where she served on the Moot Court Board. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
