Southwestern Named Top School for Human Rights and Family Law
We are excited to announce Southwestern received "Top School" designation in preLaw Magazine’s 2019 back-to-school issue!
preLaw Magazine graded law schools across the nation based on the breadth of their curricular offerings. Factors considered include concentrations, clinics, externships, journals, and student groups.
Southwestern has a 100+ year history of public service and is proud to be recognized for our rich and diverse curriculum and for the impact our students and faculty are making in these important practice areas. Our robust externship and clinical programs along with the Alumni Association's Domestic Violence Advocacy Initiative played major roles in helping Southwestern earn these high marks.
Southwestern joins UCLA, UC Davis, UC Irvine, and Pepperdine on the "A list " for Human Rights law (pg. 43), and earned the same grade as UCLA, Loyola, Penn State, Notre Dame, and Michigan State for Family Law (pg. 45).
We are definitely in good company and it is definitely time to claim our place on these rosters.
