The Staff Engagement Committee

The Staff Engagement Committee is your voice in shaping Southwestern's culture.

The Staff Engagement Committee serves as a resource, advocate, and representative for staff employees of Southwestern Law School. The committee seeks to identify staff needs, provide information and advice in response to those needs, and communicate recommendations to senior leadership that benefit staff and assist in accomplishing the mission of Southwestern and improving the institution's work culture.

The committee aims to foster staff relationships, optimize job and workplace satisfaction, and recognize the fantastic work of our Southwestern staff family. The committee will:

  • Advocate for recognition, engagement, and mentorship with staff to create a professional, collegiate environment, and work experience.
  • Seek suggestions for the improvement of policy related to the work-life balance of staff members.
  • Use our power and resources to aid the communities we serve.

Vision Statement

Our vision for Southwestern Law School is a place where staff excellence is cultivated, recognized, and rewarded. An institution where employees are stakeholders with a voice in institutional decision making. An environment where work flexibility, opportunities for professional advancement, and programs for personal growth abound. A culture wherein our staff family feels meaningfully connected not only to the institution's mission but to one another.
