Southwestern's 104th Commencement Grand Marshals
The dynamic duo is back! Congratulations to Professor Catherine Carpenter '76 and Professor John Heilman on being elected as Grand Marshals by the graduating class of 2019!
"It is an honor to have been elected Co-Grand Marshal. What a joy it is for me personally to have witnessed the growth of our students from fledgling law student to lawyer-in training in their time at Southwestern."
- Professor Catherine Carpenter' 76
We are excited to see them both reprise their roles as Grand Marshals and present this year's graduating class during the conferring of degrees. This will be their second time serving as Grand Marshals together after their phenomenal run last year. Professor Carpenter was previously elected as Grand Marshal in 2015 and 2018 and Professor Heilman in 2016 and 2018.
"Our students are incredibly talented and accomplished. Many of them have dedicated countless hours to serving the community in addition to their dedication to law school. I've had a chance to witness their hard work and growth while in law school. It is always an honor to be part of the graduation ceremony and celebrate with our incredible graduates, their families, and their friends."
- Professor John Heilman
We look forward to seeing them both at Commencement in their full regalia. Watch them present the graduating class of 2019 live here, on May 12, 2019, at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.
